Abstract
The aim was to evaluate the differences between the corner kicks in the first half or in the second half of the match. 486 corners were analyzed in 50 matches. The kicking technique most used was the instep, which included kicking low down and slightly across the ball to generate lift and apply spin to the ball taking it toward the goal, and in front of the six yard box. With relation to the efficiency, only 21.81 % of the corners finished with kicks to the goal; of these, only 2.47 % ended in goal. There are not significant differences between the corner kicks in the first half and the second half of the match.
