Tests of physical and technical skills in soccer could be more integrals if the procedures were brought closer to the actual playing conditions of the sport. Several studies have proposed tests that demonstrate physical aptitudes in conjunction with technical skills. To carry out a systematic review of literature on the validity and reliability of tests that measure physical and technical aptitudes used in youth soccer categories. A search was conducted for articles evaluating the validity and reliability of tests measuring physical and technical soccer skills related to agility, change of direction, dribbling and running around obstacles using the databases of PubMed, Proquest, ScienceDirect, Springer, and Google Scholar. Articles published in last five years and also between 2013 and 2016 were considered initially and finally 12 articles were selected for the revision that fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The review was carried out following the PRISMA guidelines. Among the physical and technical skills, the most frequently measured were change of direction (n=6), agility without and with the ball (n=5), complemented with techniques, dribbling, passing, among others. Based on the statistics of the tests reviewed, they presented good to excellent reliability and validation with an ICC (0.70 to 0.99) and a Pearson correlation coefficient that ranged from (0.83 to 0.99) respectively. The tests with the best psychometric properties were: ICODT- ball test, soccer specific change of direction speed (FS_CODS), soccer agility with AS ball (with ball) and soccer agility for goal success and agility with dribbling and passing.
