The identification of the elements that define a talented soccer player has been and is the object of consideration in multiple scientific works, however, considering the role that the coach plays as a guarantor of the identification and development of this, there are few studies found. Based on these premises, the work presented here aims to establish, from an empirical perspective, the elements that condition and define a talented soccer player from the perspective of the coach. Based on a non-experimental and descriptive empirical research design, an assessment questionnaire has been prepared for a total of 890 coaches affiliated with the Royal Andalusian Football Federation. The results obtained have classified the characteristics of the talented soccer player into seven factors: physical-environmental conditions, interpersonal relationships, personality factors, teamwork skills, decision-making, tactical-technical skills, and expectations of success
