Property and governance

Cultura, Ciencia y Deporte (CCD) is an open access scientific publication owned by the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), a non-profit academic entity whose mission includes the promotion of research and the dissemination of knowledge. UCAM also acts as editor of the journal, being responsible for the technical and administrative support.
The journal is managed by an independent editorial team, responsible for the scientific direction and for guaranteeing the quality of the contents. This team is headed by an Editor-in-Chief, with the support of three General Editors and Editors responsible for different areas: Education, Performance, Health, Management and Recreation, Technical Section, Legal Advisory and Secretariat. It also has the advice of an Editorial Board and the support of an International Advisory Board, made up of reviewers of recognized prestige in the areas of knowledge covered by the journal.

The selection of the members of the Editorial Board and the Advisory Board is made by invitation of the editorial team, based on criteria of research experience, institutional representation and geographic and thematic diversity. The composition of these bodies is reviewed periodically to ensure the dynamic participation of the scientific community. The names, institutional affiliations and functions of all members are published on the journal's website, thus ensuring the transparency and traceability of its editorial structure.
CCD's editorial process is governed by the principles of independence, impartiality and academic rigor. Decisions on the evaluation and publication of manuscripts are based exclusively on their scientific quality and are carried out through a system of blind peer review, without the intervention of the proprietary entity or commercial interests.
Thus, CCD's editorial policy establishes a clear distinction between the scientific management of the journal and the structural support offered by the Universidad Católica San Antonio. This separation guarantees editorial autonomy in the evaluation and selection of manuscripts, in accordance with good editorial practices and the standards required by FECYT and DOAJ.
