Abstract
This study evaluated the implementation of the teaching innovation project ‘MotrizArte’, which integrated art and the motor story as pedagogical tools in the training of future Early Childhood Education teachers. Using a mixed methodological approach, participants' perceptions of the use of art in the classroom were analysed. The results revealed significant changes in students' beliefs and attitudes regarding the usefulness of art in fostering creativity, motivation and active participation in learning. Furthermore, the MABL methodology facilitated the integration of key competences, values education and a more comprehensive assessment of sensory-motor skills. Participants rated the experience positively, despite pointing out some drawbacks related to the heterogeneity of the classroom and the resources needed for its implementation.
