Perception of quality of life of Chilean secondary education students in the post-confinement context by Covid-19

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the perception of the quality of life of a group of high school students from the Maule-Chile Region in times of post-confinement by Covid-19. The qualitative research is located within the interpretive phenomenological paradigm. The focus group technic was applied to students from 1^st to 4^th grade of high school in Talca, Chile, having 40 subjects in total. The data was analyzed through a systematization matrix based on primary categories, from which secondary categories also emerged, grouped according to the analysis emanating from the literature review and the objective of the study. The results reflect the innumerable changes in the quality life (QL) of the subjects provoked mainly by the quarantine periods and how the post confinement has contributed in the improvement of it. As a conclusion that it is necessary to promote the practice of physical and sports activity in students, thus developing resilience, perseverance and perseverance, which allows them to face more calmly the various adversities that arise in the post-confinement stage.
