El punto de partida de este artículo es el contraste entre los éxitos de los deportistas españoles y la crisisveconómica-política-institucional que sufre el país. En este contexto, se indica que no han sido pocas lasvvoces públicas que han puesto sus ojos en los deportistas para presentarlos como modelos a seguir si queremos salir del hoyo en que nos encontramos. Situado el asunto, lo abordo jugando con la realidad y la ficción. Para ello, me limito aquí a considerar algunas películas deportivas de distintas épocas en las quevse sugieren ideas sobre el papel del deporte en tiempos de crisis. En este tipo de escrito, las conclusiones quedan totalmente abiertas para el lector. En todo caso, creo que los relatos que se presentan pueden contribuir a estimular la reflexión sobre la cultura que se recrea mediante las narraciones más o menos ficticias de las hazañas deportivas (en tiempos de crisis).

Abstract

The starting point of this paper is the contrast between the successes of Spanish athletes and the political, economic, and institutional crisis afflicting the country. In this context, many people have publicly looked to athletes to use them as models to be followed in order to get out of the present situation. Given the subject, I approach it playing with reality and fiction. To do this, I refer to just a few movies related to sport from different eras whose plot can be related to the role of sport in times of crisis. Given the purpose of this writing, the readers are left to draw their own conclusions. Regardless, I think that the stories presented in this paper might help stimulate reflection on the culture that (in times of crisis) is recreated by the more or less fictional narratives of sport feats.
